Normal role description: | PTPN18 is a protein-tyrosine phosphatase that function as asignalling molecule responsible for regulating a number of cellular processes such as cell growth and differentiation. It contains a PEST motif, responsible for protein-protein interactions. PTPN18 can differentially dephosphorylate autophosphorylated tyrosine kinases that are overexpressed in tumours, and it may play a role in regulation of HER2. |
