Normal role description: LCP1 is an actin binding protein that plays a role in activation of T cells by costimulation through TCR/CD3 and CD2 or CD28. It is also involved in cell surface expression of IL2Ra/CD25 and CD69. In non hodgkin follicular and burkitt lymphomas, a translocation induces swapping of promoters with BCL6.
