Normal role description: ASTN2 is a multi-pass membrane protein may be involved in cell signalling. It contains 3 EGF-like domains and a fibronectin type-III domain. It is normally expressed in the brain, kidney, testes and ovaries and may function in neuronal migration. Mutations of the protein has been found in breast cancer and clear cell renal carcinoma samples.
